Milk Loves You Campaign

Apparently it’s good to drink milk. Tetra Pak has been running this campaign called Milk Loves You, which is for a good cause. They have a Milk Pledge section, which you can click on and max out so that kids get free milk to drink in Malaysia. I guess, I’m not that cold hearted and cynical about everything and don’t only talk about music. Milk is good for you I suppose. Calcium and all.

So go on, support the milk cause in Malaysia and the milk loves you by drinking more milk and giving a milk pledge. You can look and perv at pictures in the Milk Moments Gallery as well.

Don’t be shy yeah. I’m trying to think of some milk songs. Immediately, the one from Garbage comes to mind.

Gig Guide: Update

Posted in Gigs, Music by weng Sunday July 20, 2008

I may very well be missing one of the biggest concerts (in my books). Death Cab for Cutie. Yep, I’m missing Death Cab. Turns out that they are not coming to KL, but only Singapore and it is a bad date for me. Reminiscent of a missed Coldplay concert some years back.

Panic at the Disco are coming to town though. Stadium Putra, 5th August. Now, I know their fusion of music is pretty cool but I haven’t quite absorbed it yet (don’t know I’ll ever).

Next up, American Idol finalist, Chris Daughtry. Daughtry will be part of the Traffic Jam music fest organised by Ericsson. 26 July.  Apparently, you have to a sony phone to get the Daughtry package, which includes the tickets. Silly organisers and what I call the sellout mentality. It’s a typical case of an organising company who don’t have the money to bring in a big act, relying on cash rich global companies to sponsor the cash. Then you become a corporate entity slave. Listening to music is supposed to be free. Watching your favourite acts play music should come with a price. But not like this.

This brings us to the final artiste on this gig guide. My guilty pleasure. The one, the only Avril Lavigne is coming to down. August 29, Stadium Merdeka. Yep, I’m definitely going to go see her. Now, which tickets should I get.

Happy gigging!
